Make A Healthier Change.
Asserted by the Plastic Disclosure Project, plastic bottles are the most recycled plastic items but still the recycling rate is only about 24 percent. If you ask me, that is not such a high percentage. We could do better or find better ways to put plastic to more use. So, I have stated how much percentage of the plastic is being recycled. Now, let us engage in another reason why we should also reuse plastic bottles as flower pots. Did you know that; not hiving millions of plastic bottles in the landfill results in a saving of 6.7 cubic meters of landfill space that is at a premium right now?
Go green with your life and help save your planet as well. Plus, most of us know instinctively that being close to greenery makes us feel more at ease with our surroundings. This is where a health benefit of reusing plastic bottles as flower pots comes to play. By doing this, not only are we recycling but we are making a difference. When one is around greenery one experiences less stress when there are plants around. Buildings are quieter and more relaxed but, at the same time, more stimulating and interesting. A substantial body and academic research of ‘Benefits from Plants and Body,’ has shown conclusively that interior landscaping has dramatic effects on the wellbeing of building occupants. Paulo Freire, a Brazilian educator and philosopher who was a leading advocate of critical pedagogy, said that we all acquire social myths which have a dominate tendency, and so learning is a critical process which depends upon uncovering real problems and actual needs.
Let us raise organizational awareness that reusing and recycling plastic bottles can provide an environmental friendly source of materials; for the manufacture of new creative products and substitutes recycle materials for virgin materials. Plants have been proven to remove airborne harmful contaminants. Most individuals spend the majority of time indoors at home or work. Air conditioning, improved insulation, and energy-saving all reduce air exchange in buildings so we breathe the same air again and again. Because the modern internal environment is virtually hermetically sealed and the construction materials used, modern synthetic furnishings, computers, electrical equipment, and everyday household products; such as cleaning material can provide harmful substances that are trapped inside the building. These all contribute to the well-organized “sick building syndrome.” Polluted indoor air contaminated by volatile organic compounds are a major cause of headaches, nausea, sore and itchy eyes, loss of concentration and other “sick building” symptoms. By choosing to be involved and a part of this change within our environment, it is a way all individuals from different backgrounds to be involved and able to spread awareness.
